CIBC has a large credit card business. National Bank of Canada - National Bank of Canada has branches across Canada with the majority in Quebec. This is the 6th largest bank in Canada.
RBC - Royal Bank of Canada - Royal Bank
also known as RBC, is the largest of the Canadian
Banks. It also maintains both full
service and
discount brokerages and a large investment dealer business. It is
expanding its investment bank business around the world. Bank of Nova Scotia -
Scotia Bank - branches across Canada as well as branches in Latin
America and
China. This bank is the most international of Canada's banks. It is the
third
largest bank in Canada by deposits and market capitalization. It has
over 2000
branches in over 50 countries. Smaller Banks and Credit Unions Canadian Western Bank - Canadian Western Bank. This bank operates in Western Canada. Desjardins - Desjardins financial group consists of credit unions in eastern Canada as well as insurance and other financial services. They are actually quite a large credit union and have a large market share in Quebec and parts of Ontario.

institutions in

Laurentian Bank is a smaller bank concentrated in Quebec but with

National Association for Credit Unions in Canada - the national association for credit unions in Canada.President's Choice Financial - President's choice financial - This is a virtual bank that is operated in partnership with CIBC. They have low service charges for their accounts and is quite popular. Account holders with PC Financial can use CIBC's ATMs without any extra service charges. |
